07:40 pm - What would an angel ask humanity?

This question came into my mind today, and I mulled it over for a moment and I believe that if an angle had a chance to speak to humanity on it's own the question would look something like this.

"What is wrong with you mortals? Do you not know the goodness of God? When my brothers sinned against the Throne, when they left their heavenly places they were cast out into bitter darkness, to be bound in the pit with chains until the end of days when they will be cast into the lake of fire for all time. They have no way back to God, they are forever separate from him. But you, o Man, you were created after we of the heavenly realms. Yet the Father chose you as the first fruits of all His creations, of all the works and wonders His hands made you and you alone were called His first fruits. And when you sinned, when you fell from the eternal grace of God your maker, He did not cast you into darkness as He did with my kind; no He gave you Salvation. He sent the Prince of Heaven, the Son of God, The Lamb himself to perish for your sake. Why then O mortals, do you continually spit in the eye of God after all He has done for you?"

Now, that's me. What thinkest thou O fellow mortals, what would an angle ask humanity?

08:28 pm - Lets see if I've got this right.

OK, so once again I've managed to offend people. You may ask yourself, what did he do? What was said? Well,I can tell you this, I've offended people by no other measure than standing by my belief.

So alright internwebs lets see if I've got this straight. Because I'm a Christian that means I stand for moral absolutes, I stand for loving my God with every inch of my being and I stand for loving my neighbor. I stand for a clear cut definition of right and wrong, good and evil, morality and immorality, and I believe that there was a man called Jesus of Nazareth, who was also called Christ and that he was and is the Son of God and he died for my sins and was risen from the dead three days after his death.

Yet because I hold fast to this and I do not shrink away from it, this is somehow offensive? Why is it that the ideas and principles of Christianity, which despite what some hoighty toighty collage professor might tell you, that our country was founded on is considered offensive.

Yet people who practice pagan beliefs, dancing under the moon, witch craft, all manner of sexual immorality that their gods or goddesses approve of, or just the flat out atheist who refuses to believe in anything at all, they are the ones who somehow have a right to be offended at me for being a Christian, yet I have no good right to be offended by what they believe; and how dare I ever, ever, EVER, speak about Christ or God in anyway shape or form.

I was trying to make the case that the belief or lack there of in God has absolutely nothing to do with agreeing on the principle of God, and I get lambasted for being offensive, when I do nothing and say nothing other than state simple truth, I'm offensive.

So, I hope I understand this right, because I would hate for anyone out there to get their little toes stepped on because someone is actually going to say "I believe in a higher moral authority, I agree on the principle of the matter, and I think society in general would be better off agreeing on that principle" is an offense to people.

Right, got it.

04:19 am - Just a question

So, CNN has done another bang up job on reminding all of us just how much of a racial divide we still have in this country with it's latest special "Latino in America" I'll be honest, I haven't had a chance to watch that one, or the "Black in America" specials.

However, and I may just be crazy here, why do some organizations feel the need to separate us by our color? I mean, isn't it just a tad racist on the part of CNN to make specials that only deal with people because of the color of the skin or their origins? I mean, lets just flip the script and see what would happen if, oh I dunno, Fox or PJTV did a "White in America" special and see what happens.

But, what little I did manage to catch on the Latino special was a woman making the point that some people are afraid because English will no longer be the main language of this country.

.......so, let me see if I get this straight, America has spoken English as it's main language for a couple of hundred years and yet all of a sudden English has to take a back seat to Spanish?

What, the, hell people. Seriously, what the hell?

02:13 am - What is your desire in life?

Now, that's an interesting question isn't it? While we're growing up we're always asked and advised to be on the look out for what we want to be when we grow up. What kind of career we'd like to have and the life we'd like to lead. I am given pause to wonder however.

I pause because have you ever been asked what it is you truly desire in your life? Not what you want to do or where you want to go, but what you actually, truly desire to have in your life. That which will make your life better, more fulfilled etc.

During some recent spiritual struggles I have been shown that there are only two things in my life I well and truly desire, everything else is just wall clutter next to these two things.

That which I desire more than anything else in my life is to have a deeper and more abiding love for God. To be honest, I want the same love for God that He has for me; and no greater love hath mankind ever known than the love of God. For was in love that He made us, it was in love that he did not destroy Adam and Eve, it was out of love that He saved Noah and his family from the flood, and time and time and time again His long suffering and love were shown to the nation of Israel until finally God's love took the ultimate form.

When the Word came to be born of flesh, to be called Jesus, to have the name Emmanuel, to be as mortal men and to take all the sins, all the inequities, all the shame and guilt and grief of the world upon himself and by His death, break their power forever more over mankind. And by the Resurrection a hope that those who believe and are baptized will have life eternal.

Jesus himself said that "no greater love does a man have than he lay down his life for his friend" How much greater is that love when a life is laid down for the salvation of those who are your enemies? This is the love of God made manifest for us, and I so desire to love God as He loves me.

The other desire in my life is a simple one. I desire a good woman in my life. Far to often you see people in a relationship and most of the time they're in it for the wrong reasons. I'm not saying anything against them at all, it's just that's not what I want. I don't just want a woman in my life, I want a good woman. Someone whom I can not just love, but I can share my hopes and dreams with, that we can build a life together. A woman I can grow with both physically and spiritually. What I desire in a woman, is a mate. Someone to be my partner, my friend, and to stand at my side no matter what comes across our bow. (to use a nautical term)

And that's it my friends. Those are the only two things in my life I can say I honestly desire to have. The same love for God that He has for me, and a good woman to be my partner and mate.

What is it that you truly desire my friends?

10:46 pm - My big problem with the Enviro movement.

My biggest problem with the current Environmental Movement is this: They're not trying to protect anything, they're trying to *save* everything.

Here's the deal, and you can see it in the commercials from companies like Waste Management and Esurance. They come off as these great noble defenders of the planet, saving it from the horrors of mankind and his devastating impact on the planet. From global warming to trees being cut down, they're making such a big to do about saving the world.

....like the planet needs to be saved from the likes of man. What is man? Man is nothing more than an insignificant speck in the universe. Were our world to suffer some cosmic disaster and be destroyed tomorrow, the universe would not care. We matter only to our Creator and no one and nothing else. This world, does not need us to save it. This world is far more powerful than we can ever hope to be. I point you to volcanoes, tsunamis, mudslides, hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms, snow storms, floods, fire, earth quakes, sink holes, and dozen upon hundreds of other ways this planet can crush us in a moment.

However, this planet should be *protected* There is a difference, to me at least. The difference is this. When something has to be saved, then it is in dire peril and something must be done to end the peril at all costs. This is not the case with our world.

To protect something, is to take care of it, to preserve it, and tend to it.

We need to protect our planet, not save it.

But, that's just me talking.

10:35 pm - A thought on faith.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything in here. But allow me to share a thought with anyone who wishes to read.

Faith.

I am a Christian, and I make no apologies for that. Yes, that means I think I am going to heaven because I am Saved, and if your not saved your going to Hell. That means I am tolerant of people, not the sin they live in and choose to perform. I believe in One God, One Son, One Baptism, One Church, One Faith. I believe that it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that man has any hope of being saved, and through Christ, we can finally come to understand and know our God, our Heavenly Father.

And for this, there are those who will not only disagree with me, but think me utterly insane. That there is no God, or that even if there is a God, he either doesn't care, loves everyone to much to send anyone to Hell if their good, or he just wants to punish everyone for being bad. Yet, even with these views I say this. To the people who do not believe in God at all, you are quite frankly, less sane than I am.

Lets look at some of the things people believe in unquestionably.

Luck. The faith in something you can not touch, feel, see, nor hear, that is in no way sentient or caring about you, yet it *somehow* impacts your life for good or bad. People, blindly believe in this thing called Luck. They don't question it, they don't think about it, they just accept it. Blindly and faithfully they trust in Luck.

The Big Bang. Yes, this is still taught and believed in scientific community. Do they never stop to think about what they say? They flat out say there was *nothing* then there was an explosion, and they attempt in no way to explain how anything came to be in a space where there was nothing to create the Big Bang. Let me tell ya something folks. It takes a hell of a lot more faith to believe this, than it does to believe we were created.

The list can go on and on and on if I wanted it to, but I won't. People, everyone has faith in something. EVERYONE believes in something and puts their trust and faith in it. The only thing that separates myself and my Christian brethren from everyone else, is what we believe in.

So, the next time you think I, or any other Christian is insane or out of their mind for believing in the Son of God, ask yourself this question. Why do you believe what you believe, and how does it make you more sane than I?

07:27 pm - Video Games

Bear with me on this one. I just picked up a gamed called Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. Apperently it's got a diehard fanbase here in the States, mostly because they've all imported it. Fire Pro R, is the first enlish port of the Japanese game.

Personaly, I like a good wrestling game every now and again and this think looks good, but here's my problem with it.

Modern day game reviews.

I hop on over to Gamespot to check out their review of the game. The guy wrtiting it make a strong case of it's good points, but he acts as if this game should be burned. HIs biggest problem with it? Sprites. THat's right, 2D sprites on the PS2. OHH DEAR LORD NOT SPRITES!

Have we, as gamers, or are there in the gaming comunity, come so far in graphics as to spur where we started? If I could find it I'd pick up Final Fantasy Anthologies, not for the FF game in there, I could care less, but for Crono Trigger. Some of the BEST games still to date, are games played on the NES, SNES Gensis and other sprite bases systems. Heck, if that wasn't the case, why would Nintendo be offering such classic games for download on the Wii from a bunch of different console libraires?

So, maybe it's just me. Heck I love sprites, there's a simplicty to them that brings charm to them. Sure, life like graphics and shading are nice, really nice sometimes, and I like the modern games. God of War, WoW, City of Heros, and so on.

But, are we realy going to piss on a game, just because it has 2D sprites?

04:54 pm - Have you noticed.....

That some folk on the Net spout off some of the most virulent, hate filled speach anywhere?

Perhaps it's the complete acess one has to the internet, even if someone doesn't own a home computer, most public libraries have internet acess. This way, anyone of any standing can log on, create a blog or LJ or webpage, and fill it whatever they should desire.

Some of the things I've read out there in the vastness of the Net, just chill me. It's almost as if these people have no other goal in life than to spit as much hellfire against anyone and everything they hate. Be it Jew, Muslim, Christian, Repulican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, etc. The list can go on and on. One has to wonder if they spout such hate fueled speach and such agression away from the internet.

Maybe that's what really brings these people to the Net, the anyonamous nature of the Web. I mean, really, how can anyone really be sure what they're looking at is by the person they say they really are? Every blog and LJ and webpage, that can not back itself up by outside crediblity, owned by a person should always be looked at with a grain of salt, mine included.

It's just something I've noticed in a few places, on image boards where arguments errupt and turn hateful, where people use their blogs or LJ's to do nothing but place the most hateful sounding things against everyone they seethe at.

I'm no perfect saint myself, and I will admit that there have been times posting in other LJ's that I've had some fervor behinde me, but I know myself and I know that hate has no fueled what I've said. It may be seen as such, and if it is then that is the price I will pay for my fevor.

But this cat...this fellow named Archae. I've nothing against him personaly and this isn't some attack on his person or his standing with anyone. On a lark I decided to take a look through his LJ, I didn't read much of what was written there beause so much of it had such a hateful, scournful, tone to it. I do know he despies one Mr. Hayes, for reasons which are his own. I'm sure there are things he loves and there are things he does not feel hateful toward, but to spend so much time putting such anger and hatred into one place, it just makes me wonder one thing.

Why?

Again, this is no attack on his person, who he is or what he does. This is something I've noticed in many places in the Web. There are just simply those out there who will do nothing more than fill whatever and where-ever they can, with as much hatred and anger as they can. All I must again is, why?

But, those are the observations of the Preacher, and as the Wise Preacher Solomon said "Vainty vanity, all is vanity."

03:00 pm - If I ran for President.....

They would shoot me. End of story. If I ever ran for President, my platform would look something like this.

-End Wellfare. The moment I took office I would erradicate Wellfare. Everyone one Wellfare who is not disabled by some medical condition, will get one last check. They better damn well use it to find a job. I don't care if they kill themselves or work. Either way that drain on the economy and socity will be solved.

-Return the power of government to the States and restrict the powers of the Federal Goverment. That's right, I'm talking about getting things back on track like they were supposed to be. The Federal end of things will deal with all forign issues and trade, while the states deal will all domestic issues, on a STATE by STATE basis. That means, what goes in Nevada does not go in Texas or New Mexico, PERIOD!

-Elimintate the IRS, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, and the ATF. Firstly, the IRS. Every state will pay a 15-20% flat tax on every sale made and that will go to the federal government. With all the money saved from the end of wellfare and the sudden decrese in government employees, I'm sure that will tide things over nicely. Secondly, all these other agiences will be done away with and one central intelligence gathering agency will exsist and will deal with counter-terrorism intell, counter-intell, and the like. There will no longer be any miscomunication and withheld information from any other branch. As for the ATF simple. Get a state lisence to make and sell your own tobacco and alchol. As for firearms, the only weapons restriced to the public will be high end military weapons. Rocket launchers, gernades, and the like.

-On that note, every state will be required to keep a well regulated and trained milita. Every year or so all members of the milita will undergo Military standard training in all fields so that should worse come to worse the men and women of the milita will be ready to fight side by side with the Army, Marines, and so on.

-Immigration, simple. If you are not here on legal status, your out. No questions, no bitching. You and anyone and everyone related to you who came here from an illegal stauts. Your illegal, you have no rights or standing at all. Second, a ten story high electic fence with sniper towers. The border will not be closed, but will be protected. Once that is done, the all immigration policy not mandated by the federal government (rember, outside the borders it's the Fed's job) will be mandated by the states, on a state by state bais. (once your in the country you in the hands of the domestic side of things)

Those are just a few things I would run on. Yea...they'd shoot me, right in the head after my second debate.

04:52 pm - The One World Government

http://www.heritage.org/Research/InternationalOrganizations/wm470.cfm

This speaks of the UN's Law of the Sea Treaty. In a nutshell it will take away the sovrign rights of any and all nations surrounding their coast line, and now anything within twelve miles of the coast used to load, unload and otherwise operate sea fareing vessels.

This is nothing more than a blatant attempt to seize utter and complete dominion of the worlds oceans under one government rule, that govering body being the United Nations.

If there would be any one thing to spark a war, I mean a massive world war far greater in scope and scale than Iran getting a nuke, it's this. I speak of course of a long term scale.

Somehow, someway this action MUST be stopped if America, or any other nations wishes to hold onto to being a sovrign nation. The UN is a fools idea and will lead all the world to ruin. Every nations should back out of the UN now and leave it with nothing more than a name and a building.

There's a lot more out there on the Law of the Sea Treaty, but that was one link I came across detailing former President Regans fears about the treaty. Read it sometime, and be fearfull for the future.

03:07 pm - What do you see...

What do you see when you think of Jesus Christ? My mind rambled about this a few days ago and I was just wondering what others saw in their minds eye when they saw Jesus. Personaly, I find the vast majority of the depictions of Christ insulting. Not because he's white or long hair or any of that, but because most of them make him out to be some kind of nancy boy, a sissy in a robe. How far from the truth I find that to be.

Lets examine some things shall we? First off ethneticity. I've heard some argue that Christ was white or he was black etc etc. Really it does not matter the color of his skin however for the sake of argument I will say this. Christ was born in the flesh and made as humans are in the womb, and Mary was a Jew. She was of Jewish decent, as was Christ through her. So without any brain numbing thought Jesus the Christ was a Jew, and he probably looked very much like they do now in Isreal. He was a Nazerite though, and to my understanding they were of more fair skin than other Jews and had longer hair. Of course in keeping with the Old Law his hair was probably a lot shorter than is normaly depicted because it was not in accordance with the Old Law for a man to have long hair.

The second thing, and this is what really galls me, is his physical statue. Now, we've all seen how Christ is portrayed physicaly, in every movie ever made real or animated, in every piece of art depicting Christ he is always this scrawny looking man. Well maybe not scrawny but he's not shown how he really was. Let me explain why I feel this way. Untill the age of 30 Christ lived with his family in Nazereth and was taught the profession of Joseph which was carpentry. If you get a chance(I looked for some links but couldn't find em) look for images of carpentry tools used back in the Roman Empire. There was no such thing as power tools. Those kinds of jobs were very physically demanding and Christ, if he was not buff was more than likely very musclar working with carpentry tools from a young age well into his adult life untill he began his ministry.

His hands were probably calloused, rough and strong. He probably smashed his fingers with a hammer from time to time and his hand were more than likely scarred from getting cuts and scrapes and splinters in them.

Now, the big thing that really hints to Christ's physical prowess is when he drove the money changers out of the temple. Look at how he did it, he overturned tables took a scourge and used it on the money changers and litteraly drove them all out of the temple court where they were buying and selling. This wasn't some little garage sale, this was a full blown market set up within the temple courtyard. He walked into this market, turned over tables probably full of merchandise and goods, and whipped the merchants hard enough to drive them out physically.

Because of that, my mental image of the Christ is one who was strong. Not this weakling so often seen by well, everyone. Which makes His life so much more touching and heartfelt. He had hands strong enough to drive men out, but they were gentle enough to heal and to hold children. He was strong enough to endure the pain and suffering of tourture before he was hung on the cross, yet he was humble as well. He more than likely could have busted a jaw or two on the Roman guards, but he didn't. He had strength, physcial strength, and knew when and how to use it.

That is the kind of man I see when I see Christ.

02:19 pm - Resturant jobs are easy.....

I work in the food service business. I'm a cook and I'm proud of the work I do. I have been blessed not only with my job, but blessed with the ability to do my job well.

Now I'm not going to say I have the hardest job in the world because I know that there are jobs out there which require far more mentaly and physically than working a grill. But this is to all those people out there who look down on people in my position and see my job and others like it as demening and beneath them.

I dare you people to work in a resturant. Any end. From Mcdonalds to a five star resutrant, get trained in it and how to work it, then work a busy day, I mean busy freakin day like the one I just had. Stick your condesnding butt over a hot grill for seven hours working almost non stop for those seven hours cooking food. Then come tell me my job isn't actually work and just try, just TRY looking down on people in my end of the job pool.

06:26 pm - There is indeed hope

http://fred08.com/Principles/PrinciplesSummary.aspx?View=Principles

Now, I know it's a long shot to hope anyone getting into polotics is going to stick to is, but if Fred Tompson stands on these principles, each and every time he's in a debate in an interview or just speaking his mind, this man will walk away with the Presidency next year.

Then, if he actually works his butt off and sticks to these principles of his if he does get the office of President, then we will have a great man in office.

I can only hope and pray that he is the kind of man strong enough to overcome the politicial hypocracy.

09:04 pm - At least someone in Hollywood is truthfull

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,296382,00.html

Well, I'm not going to sit here and blast the woman for anything she said. She at least spoke the truth about herself. Bowing down and worshiping a golden idol. Now where have we seen that befor hmmm?

I'm just glad someone finally owned up to the truth of the matter as to who and what they really worship in that bizzare land called Hollywood.

On Larry King she states she planned all of this. Even if she lost she was going to rush the stage and steal the emmy. She's so proud of herself for all the coverage she's getting.

Keep kneeling at your golden calf Kathy, it's only going to rust.

06:18 pm - Just something I've wondered about,

Given the current atmosphere of American politics, and the scathing remarks from the Left about the current Presidential Administraion there is something I've been wondering about what may happen in the comming years.

Almost since the start of the War on Terror when we invaded Afganistan there has been an unrelenting attack on President Bush, his office, those who serve under him, and just about everything the Left, and some on the Right, can throw at the man.  He's become more demonized in this day an age than say, Hilter.  It seems as if nothing the man does can be viewed as good.  His policies aren't the basis of my musings though.

What I have wondered is this.  Let us say that in the far off time of Nov. 2008 a Democrat is elected to the office of the President.  Not surprisingly their first act will be the immdediant withdraw of all troops from Iraq. (Never mind those still stationed in places like, ohh I dunno, Bosnia? Unless they're home now in which case strike that comment)) Iraq, still an unstable democracy because the people there refuse to let go of the one thing that has kept them in such a backwards third world state (*cough*Koran*cough*  *cough*Sharia Law*cough*) will fall quickly to another tyranical regime led by a faction of Muslims.

With Iraq safely back in the hand of good Koran abiding Muslims they will likely pick one of two targets to attack, or attack both at the same time. Isreal and America. (Keep in mind that during the time the cease fire has been called since the Hezbulla incident, that group has used this time to take over land from Jews in the Strip and make them into forward bases for gorilla war fare) Either way, we will be attack again. It's only a matter of time should a Dem be voted into office.

It's taken a round about way but what I wonder is this.  Will those who have blasted President Bush on the Iraq war stand up to the leadership in 09 should we be attacked again, and blast them as hard as they have blasted Pres. Bush?  Or will they simply hold their hand and say "there there, this is all the fault of the bad man who was in here before you. This isn't your fault at all for not protecting this country"

Just something I wonder about.
